The land that we are situated upon is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnaabe, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
The territory is within the lands protected by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement between the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe and allied nations to peaceably share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes.
We are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
